Educational Programs Seniors

Lake County’s seniors are the fastest growing population demographic. But being a senior doesn’t have to mean feeling dependent. Laketran’s services provide you with transportation options that can help you remain engaged in your community and travel independently.

Laketran offers senior programs on a one-to-one or small group basis. This training is free and available to all residents. Laketran’s staff can tailor the instruction to meet your personal transportation needs. Whether you want to go to the salon, the library, the grocery or the movies, we can show you how to get there easily and affordably.

Many seniors enjoy our small group sessions. This service is ideal for Red Hat Societies, senior clubs, veterans groups, and even fitness groups.

Instruction includes destination planning, map navigation, schedule reading, fare payment and bus etiquette. Laketran’s training staff will even accompany you on your first trip to ensure that you are confident with your new transit skills!
